Michael Oher was born on May 28th, 1986 in Memphis, Tennessee.
Throughout Michaels life, he didn’t really have anyone to lean on..
Considering he was one of twelve children. Michaels father left his
family before he was even born so he didn’t exactly have a father figure
that he could look up to.. Later in life, Michael got adopted by the
Tuohy family right when his football career was about to take flight.
School life was difficult for Michael. Because of his situation before
being adopted, education wasn’t necessarily an option for him. Big Tony
took the responsibility of making sure Michael got the proper
education.. Big Tony and Michael drove East to look for a good school
that michael could attend. Their journey stopped at a school in
Mississippi. There, at Mississippi State, Michael had everything he’d
hoped for; an education and football.
Interests and Hobbies
Michael Oher is most famous for playing football. Growing up,
Michael had a hard day-to-day life, so he always thought of football as a
sport where he could let off some steam. Whether its for the physical
passion or the mental relief, Michael’s main interest is football but
surprisingly, he finds himself as a basketball player. He claimed that
he saw himself move on the basketball court rather than on the field.
Because of his size, he determined that football was the sport for him.
One passion outside of ports that Michael has is cars. Because he has
become so wealthy, he is able to buy pretty much any car he wants. But
usually, he just buys plastic remote-control versions of the cars he
likes.
Anecdotes
When it came to Big Tony, he was Michaels caregiver. When Michael
moved in with Big Tony, Big Tony realized that Michael was going down
the wrong path. Michael wasn’t doing well in school and was getting in
trouble on the streets. It all started going downhill after Big Tony’s
mom, Betty Boo, died. Betty Boo wanted Steve and Michael to get a proper
christian education so thats when Big Tiny and the guys traveled North
and ended up in Michigan.
When Michael started attending school, he discovered something
great; he was actually smart. After he started getting into the groove
of balancing school and football, he proudly got adopted into the Tuohy
family. Michael ended up graduated in the same class as his adoptive
sister. He became extremely close to Leigh Ann Tuohy because she was on
person who believed in him the whole time, throughout his whole
journey..
Career
Michael Oher has made football a rewarding career from the first
time the recruiters saw a fuzzy video of Michael playing football, to
the moment he did not say one word to Lemming during the interview for
playing or the military team.. It didn’t matter if people didn’t have
faith in him or didn’t think he would succeed, because he believed in
himself which is how he won the 2013 super Bowl.

Michael Oher is most famous for having a movie based on him called
“The Blind Side.” After the making of that movie, publicity went wild
and started paying more attention to him through his football career.
After he graduated from Michigan state., Michael went on and moved up in
his football career by getting drafted by the Baltimore Ravens. After
many victories and few losses, the Ravens won the 2013 Super Bowl. He
celebrated with his adoptive family after the super Bowl and fulfilled
many Ravens fans dreams.
